Pewter is made of the highest quality lead-free alloy; sterling is .925 silver. After use, wash your pewter or sterling silver in warm water using mild soap with a soft towel. Your pewter and sterling should never be exposed to an open flame or excessive heat. Store trays flat, cups standing upright, etc., to prevent warping. Do not wrap pewter or sterling in anything other than the original wrapping to prevent scratching. With proper care, your pewter and sterling silver will last for generations.
Never put pewter or sterling in a dishwasher.
